Stepper Card Tutorial

A while ago I was asked if I could do a tutorial for a stepper card, so finally I have done it and to make it simple for you I have added the photos in a slide show, which you can pause at any time.

Firstly the products I have used are:

Crafters Companions Humphrey's corner Christmas wishes
Basic Grey Nordic Holiday cardstock Apre ski & Slalom
Nestabilities labels 21
Any snowflake punch...mines a Martha but I thinks its discontinued but you can use any snowflake die/punch
Flat back crystal gems
Memento Black ink
White cardstock for card base plus some for colouring
Promarkers: Red, Oatmeal, Black, Warm Grey 1,2,3, Soft Green, Holly, Lime Green, Petrol Blue, Marine, Forest Green, Satin

Everything I have used is available to buy/order at the shop

You might not be able to read the measurements on the slide so here they are for you to write down.

Cut a piece of cardstock 11" x 5" and then take a pencil and mark 1" up from the bottom and 1" in from the right hand side, then mark 2" on the right hand side and mark across to 1" again, repeat at 6 1/2" . You should now have 3 lines going up the page 1" wide. Repeat on the left hand side of the cardstock. Take a score tool and score along those 6 1" lines....on the slide show they are marked in green pen. Now take a craft knife and ruler and cut from the first score line upto the last one and stop, turn card around and repeat on the other side. The slideshow shows you what the card should look like when you have completed that part. Follow the pictures to fold the score lines and score the top part of the card.

I hope you like the tutorial, leave us a comment and let us know. To celebrate my first attempt at a slide show I think I should give some blog candy away. Leave a comment and I will select one randomly next sunday to win a Humphrey Christmas Wishes stamp.

  1. I really like your card. Thanks. I wasn't able to view the slideshow. Smilebox said it was unavailable.
