Hi all, firstly sorry I haven't updated the blog for a while but I've been very busy, making cards, sorting out workshops and getting ready for my girlie weekend. (I'm going away this weekend for a catch up with some friends).  Last Wednesday we had our monthly get together after work to catch up on some crafty talk and play with some new goodies.  After we had filled ourselves up on a Chinese takeaway we got down to business.  We played with some new stencils, inking them with distress inks and then running them through the cuttlebug to give a really different look (Rene actually did a couple of classes on this and was really popular).  They we played with some new clear stamp sets by Marianne - they are GORGEOUS!!.  They are boy or girl and come with the boy/girl figure and clothes to dress them in - we stamped the figures and coloured them with letraset promarkers and then stamped their clothes on different patterned paper (Di is doing a couple of workshops using these -  "paper piecing") - Check out all the pictures above to see what fun we had and check out the website for supplies!!.  Lastly we would all like to congratulate "Our Sally" because her card was featured in Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine - Well Done Sally!!

NEC Hobbycraft Show Day Out

Di, Michelle and I all went to the NEC Hobbycrafts Show yesterday and what a great day we had - unfortunately Rene couldn't make it - she was "Molly sitting"- we missed you!! We were like children at Toys R Us! We didnt know where to start first. But after we had said "hi" to Julie, (the Julie who used to take workshops) - she was demonstrating on "Once Upon a Stamp" stand, we snaked the isles and took in all the lovely crafting goodies. There were some lovely ideas and we took lots of photos and came home brimming with inspiration, especially Sarah who was playing with letraset pens (My Fave!!) and gave us some great tips, which hopefully we will put into practice in the next workshop list. I'm off now to sort out my crafty bits, make up some cards and I'll post some more photos soon.
